Annual Action Plan 2021 - 2022 Notice of Public Meeting and Comment Period

The City’s Community Development division will discuss the 2021 - 2022 program year’s activities and funding allocations. This is a part of the planning process which allows the public to comment and provide input on Community Development’s proposed plans as they develop their Annual Action Plan.
Submission of the Annual Action Plan serves as the City’s application for funding under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) programs. CDBG funds can be used to assist low and moderate income persons, to prevent or eliminate slum or blight, and to meet an urgent need. HOME funds are primarily used to create affordable housing opportunities for low to moderate income persons. HOPWA funding is used to assist individuals living with HIV/AIDS and their families with short term rent, mortgage and utility assistance, supportive services and Tenant-Based Rental Assistance.
