Timmons Park Improvements
Beginning Monday, May 3rd, access into and out of Timmons Park will be one-way as the City begins a project to improve ADA accessibility in and around the park.
The project scope includes replacing the existing playground equipment, reconstructing the pickleball courts, installing a new picnic pad and table to provide shade and seating, reconfiguring the existing parking lot and adding additional parking along the upper road.
The restrooms, baseball field, disc golf course, picnic shelter and green space will remain open. However, beginning May 3rd, the pickleball courts and the area directly in front of the restrooms are expected to be closed for approximately four months. Replacement of the playground equipment will begin in June and take 30 days to complete. Once the equipment has been replaced, the playground will be reopened.
