Youth Commission

In collaboration with the City of Greenville's Arts in Public Places Commission and Youth Commission, Greenlink enhanced 10 bus shelters with inspiring artwork by local students through its inaugural Bus Shelter Art Contest. You can find these art pieces in bus shelters around the City.

Do you know a high school student who may be interested in being a part of the City's youth commission? Members have an opportunity to learn about local government by working with City Council, leadership and commissions, participate in community events, earn community service hours, create fun memories and so much more.

Qualifications:
- Entering grades 9-12
- Attends high school within the City limits or is a City of Greenville Resident
- Can include up to 4 members who are enrolled in a local college/university (up to age 21)

Meetings are held monthly for a 1 year term with eligibility to continue.

Timmons Park

Renovations at Timmons Park have begun. Replacement of the playground structure is underway and the playground is scheduled to open by the end of June. Click here for the latest information.

Bobby Pearse Reopening

After three years of closure, due to a fallen tree destroying the roof, the Bobby Pearse Community Center in the North Main Community will officially reopen for summer camp on June 14th. A reopening ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on Wednesday, June 23rd.

Upcoming Events

July is National Parks and Recreation Month and the theme is Our Park and Recreation Story! Did you grow up near a park that was like your backyard? Do you take family bike rides? Did you propose or get married in a City park? Everyone has a story to tell and we want to know YOUR Park and Rec story!

Throughout the month of July, we will be inviting you to share your story. We will also have special events all month long.
